Lindsey is amazing - I knew what I wanted as a general idea but her personal taste level is out of this world. I was blown away by the flowers she designed and brought to our wedding - a must must hire!
We can't recommend Flourish enough! We were planning our wedding from out-of-state, and Lindsey made it so easy for us. She was incredibly flexible and willing to meet with us last minute on a weekend when we were in town. In our meeting, she quickly grasped the vibe we were looking for from our flowers and decor, and incredibly helpful in making suggestions for things we might like. She was extremely flexible, and worked with us up until the final few weeks to finalize all of the little details. Her team was also incredible - we were running behind on the day-of and had to make some changes to our schedule. They were incredibly accommodating and willing to go out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. When we arrived at our venue, we were stunned by how beautiful everything was - better than we could have ever imagined. You should absolutely use Flourish for your wedding or event decor!
Lindsey was amazing from start to finish. She worked with me to design florals beyond my wildest dreams. She made us a mockup for when we looked at linens, and when they weren't exactly what we wanted, we redesigned them to be some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. Lindsey was easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to make sure we could get some arrangements delivered to a brunch my parents hosted the morning after the wedding. I would highly recommend Flourish to any couple looking to elevate the aesthetic of their wedding day.
We had such an amazing experience with Flourish! We hit it off with Lindsey right away, and she seemed to just "get" our (my) vision for the centerpieces, bouquets, and other floral aspects to our wedding. She was able to take what I said, and what I had pinned on my pinterest to make our wedding simply stunning! We discussed ways to save money but not skimp on design, and that really impressed me! Communicating with Lindsey was so easy, she responded to emails very promptly, and was very accommodating when I kept changing. adding, and taking away things. We are so so happy we chose Flourish!!!
Lindsay Nartker of Flourish met and exceeded our expectations for our daughter's wedding. We worked with her for 10 months planning every aspect of the wedding. Lindsey was wonderful to work with, supportive and encouraging, and listened carefully to our requests. She made our vision a reality. The basecamp software she uses allows all involved parties to stay up to date on fluid details. There were no surprises the day of the wedding, because every detail had been talked about and approved. Her floral arrangements are breathtaking and I remain in awe of the bride's and the bridesmaid's bouquets. Stunning! When our other daughter gets married, I will definitely be enlisting Lindsey's services again!
My entire experience with Flourish from start to finish was top notch. I admit that I knew NOTHING about flowers when I began planning my wedding, and this made me pretty nervous. I had interviewed several other florists that seemed very used to the wedding game...I didn't feel like my ideas were really being understood and it was discouraging. Its not that I was asking for anything complicated, but the true creative vision was missing. I brought Lindsey Nartker a few photos of bouquets and designs that I really liked, and showed her my bridesmaids dresses, and she understood my vision right away. My bouquets and centerpieces were absolutely perfect and she and her staff were very responsive, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Detroit area.
We used Flourish for our rehearsal flowers and the day of and they were beyond what I could have imagined. Lindsey did such an amazing job of understanding what I was looking for, especially considering I had so many different ideas in my head. She is so easy to work with and does a beautiful job with the finished product. She made our day so stunning, and when I first walked into the room I was speechless on how beautiful it was. Her and her team are absolutely AMAZING and make your day so easy and stress free!
I loved Flourish! They did our Ceremony Flowers, Centerpieces, Bouquets, and Boutonnieres. They also provided all the Calligraphy for our wedding chalkboards! It was all so amazing. They are very easy to work with and very responsive! They do a good job working with you, so you get exactly what you want. Their style matched up very well with my vintage shabby/chic wedding. All their event coordinators are very educated on what is relevant in weddings today and you can see that as soon as you walk into their shop or check out their website! Overall choosing Flourish was the best decision!
Flourish Event Design was absolutely amazing along every step of the planning process. Every last detail was exactly how I had envisioned it would be. I simply cannot imagine my wedding day without their coordination and floral design!
Flourish Event Design is an amazing 1 stop shop for all your wedding needs. I used them for planning, floral, invitations and decor and they did not disappoint.
Literally everything they touched was beautiful down to the smallest detail. I worked with both Lindsey (the owner) and Heather and they were great at re-creating the vision I had for our wedding and also recommending changes or additions they thought would really make things pop. What I LOVED about working with them is I really felt like they knew me and thus understood what I liked and really stuck to that so everything felt 100% like my Husband and I.
One of the most important things to me as an out of town bride was access. Not only were they extremely flexible with my schedule but they were always available via email/phone for questions or advise.
If all of that wasn't enough, their pricing was extremely competitive and I know without question they over-delivered for us.
I highly recommend Flourish if you are in the market for a wedding planner, floral, invitations, decor or all of the above. You will be so happy you used them!
Flourish did an AH-MAZE-ING job with our wedding! They not only provided floral arrangements that were nothing short of perfection, but they also outfitted the room with linens and chairs so that the combined effect was STUNNING!

My flowers were beautiful. Lindsey did a great job! Especially listening to me even when I changed my mind a few times and asked a million questions! But, everything turned out beautiful! The hall was gorgeous! Only little things were that the peach flowers were a little more "colorful" than what I was thinking in my head and most of our bridal party flowers were dying before the reception..but it was a long, hot day so that is understandable!
When I started working with Flourish for flowers and coordinating I knew their work would be amazing. They did an absolute perfect job to create my centerpieces, bouquets and corsages. I have very high expectations and can be picky - but honestly my bouquet was absolutely stunning and the compliments from my family and friends keep coming. My centerpieces were so beautiful and actually better than I pictured in my head. I am SO glad I had a coordinator for my wedding day - I could relax and stop thinking about everything except for marrying my love. Event Design came highly recommended from a friend of mine in the event business for my wedding and I’m so thankful for it. They were by far my favorite/easiest vendor to work with.
Let me start by saying Lindsey, the owner, is very talented. She understood exactly what I was looking for and worked within my budget to make it happen. Our venue said they’ve never seen it decorated so beautifully before. I never once felt pressured into anything I didn’t want or couldn’t afford. She was very supportive of my decisions and helped persuade the moms to support my decisions as well.
Every meeting was very personable. I never once felt rushed or pressured. I felt like their only client. They were there to provide input and give advice but really listened to me and what I wanted. It was a very easy process and completely trusted them.
My wedding was 250 miles away and they still set up a flawless design.
I wish I would have met w/ Flourish before any of my other vendors as they’re very knowledgeable of the entire wedding industry and other vendors. They can be involved as much or as little as you want them to be.

We used Flourish for all of the floral including a ceremony arch, linen rental and lighting for the reception. It was amazing to work with one vendor for all of these items. 2 separate deliveries were included with using all of these services, which worked wonderfully to get the boutonnieres and bouquets delivered ahead of the ceremony/reception. The former were delivered right to my hotel room on the 62nd floor! What service. But that's just the beginning... ALL OF THE FLOWERS WERE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN. I spent I think 3 visits + multiple emails designing and redesigning things with Lindsey and what she ended up creating was stunning. Everything was beyond my expectations and our guests were raving about all of the decor all evening and they're still coming in. I could not be more pleased. Lindsey and her team are amazing. They are not the most inexpensive, but they are very flexible and worth every single penny. USE FLOURISH! The team truly made my wedding vision come to life.
Our experience with Flourish was incredible, they were everything and more you'd want. We used them for the "day of services" and our flowers (as well as some other odds and ends). Melissa helped us with all of our planning and coordinating, and Lindsey for flowers. All of the girls were beyond helpful and answered any questions quickly and professionally. Melissa helped me get my ideas down and supported me through out the wedding planning process. It was worth every penny spent.
They flowers turned out to absolutely stunning, as I had forgotten what we even talked about! You could just tell Lindsey your vision and she'd go above and beyond.
The day of services were perfect, as we had our ceremony and reception on family property. They arrived early to help finish setting up and make sure everything ran smoothly. I didn't worry about a single thing, because I knew Melissa and Heather had it covered. They had umbrellas when it rained before the ceremony and Melissa curled my hair again before the ceremony when it went flat. They made sure everyone did their jobs and that everyone was having a wonderful time. I could not be more thankful for everything they did for us, it was worth every penny!

From the moment I meet Lindsay and her team I knew this was the company I wanted to do the decor at my wedding. She listened to what I wanted and took my budget into consideration. They did a BEAUTIFUL job with all the flowers and linens. When I walked into my reception hall I was stunned by how nice of a job they did. The centerpieces were a great size for a "smaller" sized centerpiece and my bouquet was so beautiful, and it saved nicely. They did all of the set up and clean up themselves. I would highly recommend flourish event design to anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding. Thank you ladies!
Flourish did all the flowers for my wedding and they were absolutely wonderful to work with! They are experts at what they do, and they worked with me when I changed my mind (quite a bit). All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make sure you feel at ease and prepared beforehand and that you have nothing to worry about the day of your wedding. They arrived and set up everything quickly and came back at the end of the night to tear everything down. I absolutely loved everything they did, my centerpieces and bouquets were perfect. Couldn't be happier!! They are the best!!

It was a little pricier than another florist I checked out, but I trusted Flourish more for their overall knowledge of the flowers and best combinations for the flowers I chose. I used soft, muted pastels for my bridesmaids dresses and Flourish matched all the shades to the girls dresses and it coordinated very well. I am so happy with the way it turned out! Our year of wedding planning began with the search for the “perfect wedding planner,” understanding that we would have to be realistic and eventually settle. We were wrong. Flourish Event Design, owned by Lindsey Nartker, met, and then exceeded, our expectations.
Our wedding plan contract included a vast array of custom-designed printed materials including the save-the-date, invitation, guest information pieces, and event-specific menus. Additionally, we chose to highly personalize the décor with the inclusion of vintage pieces that required a comprehensive vision from bride-to-designer. We were highly satisfied with Lindsey’s amazing ability to interpret this vision and subsequently tell the story of us, the bride and groom.
We were very pleased with Lindsey and her staffs’ willingness to remain in direct contact with all of us -- the bride, groom, mothers’ of the bride and groom, and all our chosen vendors. The organization of their Base Camp communication software was a vital part of managing our out-of-state couple, providing an outstanding means of sharing thoughts and suggestions while permitting our fast-paced business and social lives to remain intact. Additionally, Lindsey’s obvious control of the important timeline moved along our project with relative ease and resulted in successful deadline completions.
We were also very pleased with Lindsey and her staff’s constant air of patience and politeness. While most of us are not artistically talented, we each had opinions and priorities. Lindsey was always respectful of our offerings, and constantly conscious of our budget.
We thank Flourish Event Design, including Lindsey and Heather, for creating a wedding that began as an idea and became a highly memorable weekend for our family and friends. We highly recommend ending your search for the “perfect party planner” by contacting our new friends at Flourish.

Overall I thought the Flourish Event Design team did a really great job with our wedding. They were really professional and either had a similar aesthetic to our own or were able to understand our aesthetic, so the process of consulting about decor or layout was easy and smooth.
Lindsey is very patient and calm which is helpful when the planning gets stressful. She provides advice when you ask for it and hangs back when you don't. She follows up on details and keeps things moving forward--and was generally very available by phone or email. She thought about small details that made the actual day smooth-itinerary for the day of, snacks for the bride and groom in case we got hungry, etc.
My only critiques: the business of doing weddings is now a huge industry--hotels, venues, and vendors often try to charge you for things that you wouldn't think would be add ons/additional costs. If you are looking for an advocate to help avoid some of these costs, or someone who is interested in going outside established wedding vendors to find good alternatives, I don't think the Flourish Event Design team is in this business. On the positive side, they seem to have great working relationships with the established businesses providing wedding related services in the area. Also, be clear on cost from the beginning--there were a couple things I thought would be included in the overall cost of event planning that I ended up doing more work on myself than I thought I would, or things I thought should be included that weren't (e.g. managing RSVPs, writing names on escort cards, etc.) To be fair, there are such a wide variety of things that could fall under the umbrella of wedding planning, so it's hard to be clear on what's included.
Overall, our day was beautiful and it was in large part due to the hard work and efforts of Flourish Event Design.
Our wedding was absolutely stunning, and ran smoothly thanks to Flourish! Melissa, our coordinator, was particularly wonderful. I was stress-free during wedding week, as I knew she was on top of everything...and she was.
Lindsey and the entire Flourish team did a phenomenal job for my wedding. From our very first meeting, until the day-of execution, everything was smooth and stress-free. In my planning process, figuring out my flowers/centerpieces is what gave me the most stress, but after sitting down with Lindsey, all my worries were gone. She took my inspiration and made it a reality. I had checked out other florists in the area and after each meeting, I had the feeling of being "stuck" and not really getting anywhere with them. Then I found Flourish and everything fell into place perfectly.
On the day of my wedding, I was able to be at my reception location when the Flourish team delivered everything. I got choked up when I saw everything for the first time. It was beyond anything I could have imagined. With Flourish you are definitely getting what you pay for. Lindsey and the team have a special way of taking your inspiration and bringing it to life, all while keeping it extremely chic.
It's been 2 weeks since my wedding and I still have my dying bouquet sitting in a vase on my table because I can't bear to toss it yet.
Flourish was helpful to work with and helped to accommodate my busy schedule in the planning stages.
We had gotten a sample preview to see what the centerpieces would look like a month before the big day and decided to change the entire look as the colors were all completely off. I was very happy with the revised centerpieces at the wedding. Some of the flowers were wilted but they set them up on the tables exactly how I had asked. I'm definitely happy I paid the extra $50 to get the preview however and wasnt stressed about the set up one bit on the wedding day because I knew they would take care of it all!
My bouquet was absolutely beautiful however the bridemaid's bouquets were very sparse with only a few stems in them which was upsetting considering what I paid for them. The groom's rose corsage was browned and wilted. Overall the quality of the flowers them selves could have been a bit better, but the compilations were nice.
The staff at Flourish Event Design are great! They are really professional and very easy to work with! I met with Lindsey the owner first to give her an idea of what I was looking for. She got my vision right away and was able to offer me advice and examples of her own work as inspiration! It was great! I had shown her a picture of a bouquet I loved and she far exceeded my expectations! My bouquet was a dream! We got so many compliments on our flower from the flowers at the reception to the guys boutonnières! I highly recommend Lindsey & her team!
Flourish Event Design took all the stress out of designing floral arrangements! I was the type of bride who had her colors and a basic design, but that was it. Lindsey walked me through floral options, made design suggestions and made the process fun! She was very responsive and answered all my questions quickly after I asked them. And she was patient with me as my wedding day neared, and I kept making design changes. On our wedding day, I repeatedly received comments from guests that our centerpieces were some of the prettiest they'd seen. And the bridal party bouquets were stunning! They were more beautiful than I could've imagined. Lindsey was wonderful to work with, and I would strongly encourage other brides to consider Flourish Event Design! The ladies at Flourish are friendly and very responsive to requests and questions. They were even honest when I accidently sent them too much money! The flowers were beautiful, and my bridal bouquet actually lasted for >1 week after the wedding!
I used Flourish Event Design for my future daughter in law's bridal shower. From the invitations and floral arrangements to the event itself, everything was exactly what I had envisioned for this bridal shower thanks to Flourish Event Design due to their knowledge and professionalism. They guided me from Day 1 and were able to give advice and point me in right direction to questions I had about where to hold the shower to how much to spend on gifts for favors and gifts for the guests. I was very happy with their service and would highly recommend using them for an upcoming event.
I found Flourish on the knot and fell in love with their style. Every picture showed timeless works and beautiful flowers. I was a little let down on the time it took to get responses back from the company but we always got an email eventually. Lindsey was very knowledgeable about flower colors and how they will look when I had no idea what I wanted. We did hit a snag shortly before the wedding when we found out they were not allowed into the venue until about an hour before. I freaked out but once I walked in everything turned out perfect. Our bouquets were exquisite and all my guests commented non stop on how good the tables looked at the reception. I would recommend Flourish Even Design to any of my friends looking for flowers and decorations!
I met with a couple of different florists before Lindsey at Flourish Event Design and she made such an impression on my fiancé and I that we ordered right then and there. Despite our conservative budget, she worked with us to create the most amazing bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding party. In fact, we were so satisfied with Lindsey’s service we went on to have her create our invitations and escort cards. Our guests were blown away by both. The entire process was incredibly smooth and she was always quick to respond to my questions. We got exactly what we wanted at the price we needed. I worked with Flourish Event Design for my day-of coordination and also my flowers.
I knew I was going to need a day-of coordinator immediately in my planning. Honestly, this was one of the best decisions I made in the entire planning process. Melissa was the planner in charge of our wedding and she was FANTASTIC. I didn't meet her until I came into town a couple weeks before the wedding and she was so great in working with me over email and phone. Melissa was at the rehearsal even though it probably wasn't necessary, and she spent all day setting up the day of. She even hand delivered the bouquets and boutonnieres to my parents house while we were getting ready, even though I'm sure she had a million other things to do. She had a few girls on her team helping her out, and they were all just so great. Everything setup by Melissa and here team was perfect and the entire cleanup was really impressive too. I can't recommend hiring Flourish and Melissa for wedding coordination enough, she was awesome!
Now onto the flowers, linens and chivari chairs. I first met with Lindsey of Flourish just about coordination but quickly realized that she was perfect to do the flowers as well. Lindsey did a wonderful job listening to what I wanted and also made great suggestions. We only met that one time and the rest of the communication was via email. Lindsey was super responsive. I changed my mind about the type of vessel and number of arrangements a couple times and she was very easy to work with. Also she was able to get linens and chairs much cheaper than my tent rental company (Colonial). The flowers were lovely. There could have been a few more peonies in the arrangements (this may have been weather related) and the bridesmaids bouquets were a little small compared to mine. But overall everything was so beautiful!
I definitely recommend hiring Flourish!
The flowers were not what I had expected. Some of the flowers in the brides bouquet started to drop noticeably before the ceremony. The owner, however, is extremely nice and talanted. I do not believe that she saw the quality of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and the corsages made for my wedding before they left the studio.
Lindsey and her team provided all of the flowers for our reception centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres. When I walked into the ballroom the morning of the wedding I didn't see exactly what I had expected. My reaction was less than ideal. I had completely forgotten that Lindsey had contacted me during the planning process about adding some larger blooms to the centerpieces to help make them more full and less expensive (yay!) but I never adjusted my mental picture. When all of this settled in my head and I really looked at the centerpieces, they were beautiful and looked incredible in the room matched with the linens and other decor. Lindsey's team happened to hear my gut reaction and approached me ready to fix anything I wasn't happy with and assured me that they were ready to make any changes necessary to make the day perfect. I took a deep breath and assured them I really was happy. They repeatedly made sure this was the case before departing for the day. The bouquets were absolutely stunning and all of the flowers held up so well - a week later, a few centerpieces are still in our home and look great!!!
So technically speaking, the definition of the word Flourish is a "bold or extravagant gesture or action, made especially to attract the attention of others." Flourish Event Design manages to go beyond definition and create not only bold and extravagant memories, but does so with ease and in my case, with zero direction needed.
Lindsey is a gem. It is hard to fathom that she has only been in the industry for a handful of years, because she manages her company, clients and thoughts as if she were an old pro. However, her young age certainly adds a fresh edge to wedding industry.
I used Flourish for all of my wedding day flowers - ceremony to reception, as well as my linens and let's be honest, some unexpected coordination and insight. Lindsey and her incredibly well rounded team overwhelmed me with options and insight at first - Lindsey is a ball full of knowledge and taste, and just by saying "maybe ivory flowers..." she can immediately gauge your every need somehow. I never felt as if I were in a sales meeting, or being forced to like something that wasn't 100% me + my groom.
I could go on for hours on how incredible each step of the process was - but I have read enough reviews in my wedding planning experience to know that I enjoyed the to-the-point ones!
So here it is - choose Flourish. They will execute absolutely everything beyond what you're imagining. They will be on time. You will be shocked by the value and beauty of their work. They will give you referral bonuses without pushing their business on you. They will send you cookies over the holidays (or at least they did last year!!) They will cater to your every need - and even the ones you didn't realize you had. They know exactly what they are doing, and exactly what you don't need to be doing.
I can honestly say - the compliments have been endless on the flowers and the linens alone from my guests. I will thank Lindsey and her perfectly created team until I am too old to walk...and yes, I'll send THEM flowers over the holidays this year!
I am so beyond happy I went with flourish design! When I initially met with Lindsey, I had no idea what kind of flowers or colors or anything I wanted for my wedding day! Lindsey was awesome at figuring out my likes and preferences and making suggestions to help guide me in my decision making. By the end of the appointment I had picked out all my flowers, linens, colors, lighting etc. She was so nice and professional too! She made it all happen on the budget I gave her too. Lindsey and her staff were always available and professional over the months of wedding planning as well.
On the day of my wedding, I was blown away by how beautifully it all came together! My bouquets were the most beautiful I have ever seen! When I walked up to check out or ceremony and reception area, I couldn't believe how perfectly it had all turned out! It was beyond all my expectations. In addition, she was very trustworthy and made working with her a pleasure. Each time my mom and I left her studio with Flourish, we would be smiling and saying how much we adored her. Her ideas were great and she worked with us within our budget. Would recommend and use again for other events I have.
I planned my wedding from out of state, so I did not have a lot of time to shop around and meet with multiple vendors. I found Flourish through their wonderful website and knew that their aesthetic would be a perfect fit. After one quick meeting with Lindsey - she put together a beautiful collection of cream flowers, greens + berries for our lovely, textural bouquets and boutonnieres. She was also very flexible when at the last minute we needed to add loose Hydrangeas to our order for cocktail tables. Everything was dropped off onsite, with glass vases to hold the bridal party bouquets at the head table during the reception. Overall it was a wonderful, easy experience working with Flourish. I would recommend them to anyone.
Lindsey did the florals and event decor for my wedding. She was amazing to work with, helped me stay calm during times of stress and had wonderful ideas. She was willing to work with our budget and adjust as needed. She was well worth the money and I would use her services again in a heartbeat. Lindsey turned my dream wedding into something feasible and I'm so glad I choose her and Flourish Designs!
I had Flourish do the flowers for the bridal party for my September 1st wedding - bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. Overall, I was very happy with what Lindsay and her team did, she was so responsive and friendly - and I felt very comfortable trusting her with my flowers, even as I was planning the wedding from out-of-state. I really felt like she understood what I wanted, taking the couple pictures I sent and running with it. She even incorporated the peacock feathers I'd sent - when I decided 2 weeks before that the ‘bouts weren't going to happen if I tried to do it myself. And the price was good, half that of another florist. My only issue is that, because we decided to pick the flowers up, (we ended up getting them the morning of) I was disappointed to see that the boutonniere’s were dead (as in wilted and drooping) by the 6pm ceremony. Granted, flowers don't last forever, and that was the first time I'd seen them all day, so I don't know what condition they arrived in. Even so, it wasn't something you'd notice in the pictures – and getting them delivered closer to the time you need them should solve that problem. But what really hit a home-run were the bouquets, which I LOVED. That's where I felt Flourish really shined. I was just in awe of how gorgeous my flowers were! AND they stayed that way all night long. Overall, I would recommend them, but I'd also recommend having them delivered closer to the time you need them - you won't regret either decision.
We initially retained Flourish to assist us with event planning, but we were so impressed with Lindsey’s professionalism, experience, style, and the overall value of her services, that we asked Lindsey to design our stationary, floral arrangements, and coordinate our chair, linen, and ceremony rentals. We could not have been more pleased with Lindsey and Melissa, our event coordinator. Our wedding day was picture-perfect down to the last detail -- elegant stationary, gorgeous flower arrangements, impeccable ceremony and reception set-up, a “to-the-minute” itinerary of the day, and Melissa’s reassuring presence and direction. The day was seamless. My husband and I didn’t need to think or worry about a thing. We loved working with Lindsey and Melissa, and all of the vendors they recommended. Flourish truly exceeded our exceptions.
As an out of town bride (Houston, TX) I spent many hours/days searching the internet for the perfect vendors. Once I stumbled upon Flourish Event designs, I instantly was enamored with the bouquets on their website. Talking with Lindsey was a fun insight into her creative process as she listened to flowers, colors and texture I was interested in and quickly crafted suggestions....(I would not have thought up blue thistle on my own, but it was the perfect accent). When it came to the big day it was so exciting to see my vision come to life. The flowers were beautiful and matched the tone of the wedding perfectly. My aunt, who also works in flower arrangements, was struck by the beauty of the arrangements and especially impressed by the price....she knew they were worth 30% more than their price....helping to confirm my belief that not only does Flourish Events create beautiful arrangements, but they do so at a great cost!

Working with Flourish Event Design for my wedding flowers and linens was such a wonderful experience! I've met with several flower vendors prior to meeting with Lindsey, and left the appointments more confused than I was going into them. Most places were outrageously priced and expected me to have a clear vision walking into the appointment....well I can be a very indecisive person and didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted. After meeting with Lindsey at Flourish Event Design, she worked with me to shape my vision and gave great suggestions along the way! I left that appointment feeling confident and extremely excited about the design decisions we made together! Throughout the process, I had quit a few slight alterations I wanted to make to the bouquets and centerpieces and Lindsey was very accommodating to those requests! During the floral preview appointment, I changed the centerpiece vases to cylinder vases, which makes it more difficult to submerge flowers because they float up to the top. So instead of saying no, that can't be done, Lindsey came up with a solution by weighing down the submerged flowers with a string and washer. When all said and done, the final product was spectacular! I cant even count all the compliments I received on the room decor and our bouquets! Lindsey Nartker and her team created the Wedding of our Dreams! From the very beginning, Lindsey made recommendations of extremely creative and unique ideas and that truly shined on our Wedding Day! Lindsey tailored her suggestions to fit our personalities, and always made us feel that we were the only Wedding she was planning. On our Rehearsal and Wedding Day, I was ready to pass over all of the details, and Flourish exceeded all of our expectations. I met with a few florists after finally deciding not to do my own flowers (I had lots of design ideas and had purchased most of the vases/candles I wanted to use already) The owner was great at working with me to make my ideas look spectacular! She also had some great ideas to add and, in the end, our flowers were great!!!! One thing I really loved was that her prices were very reasonable, especially since the style is very modern and trendy (some of the vendors like this can be very overpriced).
My husband and I cannot say enough good things about working with Lindsey and her team at Flourish Event Design. We hired Lindsey as a “Day of Coordinator”, and her team went above and beyond with every aspect of our wedding ensuring that our 450+ guest, 2-day Hindu wedding event went off without a hitch. It’s not easy to understand all that goes into a Hindu wedding and we cannot thank Lindsey enough for the patience and understanding she showed us and our family during the planning process.
The stresses of planning the wedding from out-of-state were quickly addressed once we employed Lindsey and her team. The conference calls, emails, and her visits to our venue kept us organized and she was very helpful in pointing out any details we had missed. I felt she was always ready to take our questions – at any time (especially those frantic days/weeks before the wedding) and genuinely interested in making it a very special weekend for us. Lindsey took care of whatever we asked for efficiently, cost effectively, and with a smile. For example, when we decided two weeks before our wedding day we wanted 150 flip-flops for our wedding reception guests, Lindsey very quickly searched the area stores for availability, took care of the purchasing details and made sure to get enough baskets and bins to hold them for the reception night. And it looked fantastic!

On our wedding weekend Lindsey was there to handle all the behind the scenes coordinating and detail execution that kept all of our events running smoothly and on time. As the bride and groom, we felt in very good hands as someone from the Flourish Staff was always by our side keeping us updated on the events and handling any concerns we had. More importantly, the last thing we wanted to do was worry about any of the details – Lindsey and our team made sure we enjoyed our big day and got to spend time with the people we love. When I started looking for a florist for my wedding one of the first things I looked for was cost, then I wanted to ensure quality service. Lastly I wanted to "click" personality wise to make sure the process would go as smoothly as possible. Lindsey met and exceeded all of my expectations. Her prices are very reasonable and the quality was unmatched by any others I had seen. Her personality was really what won me over. She was so easy to talk to and gave me so many suggestions (I knew more of what I didn't want vs. what I did want). In a process that could have been completely overwhelming she walked me through step by step and made me feel at ease. She even added extra personal touches that were absolutely beautiful. My bouquet was the most gorgeous I have ever seen and I received so many compliments, not only on my bouquet but the centerpieces as well. I could not have asked for a better florist. I would highly recommend Lindsey without reservation to one of my family members or friends for their special day, I'm sure they would not be disappointed.
My husband and I worked with Lindsey from Flourish Event Designs to help design a vintage look for our wedding reception in Michigan. Flourish was extremely affordable and very customer friendly, which was the first of many perks in working with this vendor.
Lindsey was very creative and helpful in suggesting ideas that would work within our budget. She did a great job of taking the time to understand what we wanted before deciding what would look best. Lindsey walked us through each arrangement so we would understand exactly what the designs would like look. She took the time to examine several pictures with us to help create the look we were going for. On the day of our wedding, we were blown away by the flowers and the table arrangements that had been created. We definitely received the vintage look that we were going for.
I would highly recommend Flourish Event Designs for any couple who wants a customized look without the expensive price tag. I can't wait to use Flourish (and Lindsey) again for our next event!

I had a very last minute request for wedding flowers and Lindsey saved the day!
I contacted Flourish Event Design through theknot.com on Sept. 30, 2011. Lindsey emailed me back within a few hours. We spoke on the phone to determine what exactly I was looking for, and she emailed me a quote that same day! I paid via PayPal and everything was set.
A few days before the wedding, Lindsey confirmed which ballroom I was using (my reception venue has multiple) and what time to deliver the flowers. When I showed up, the flowers were there and ready. And gorgeous!
I reached out to Lindsey at Flourish in April for wedding ceremony and reception venue recommendations. My fiancé and I were living in Chicago planning a September 25 wedding for 18 guests in the Detroit area. After a conferernce call to collect wedding specifics and our overall vision, Lindsey provided a list of applicable locations with personal commentary. She contacted all of our "likes" for pricing and availability, met us at one of the locations for a showing and visited another to take pictures since we could not visit in person. Once we had our venues, I reached out to Lindsey for a photographer referral, then an officiant, THEN hair and make-up styists.... Every vendor she suggested was wonderful - professional, responsive and a "good fit" for our small event. We soon realized what a valuable asset (read: Life Saver) Lindsey was and hired her as our official planner/coordinator. After a professional design proposal that fit our vision perfectly, Lindsey contacted and coordinated all vendors (rentals, lighting, floral, catering, cake). Three weeks before the wedding my fiancé and I moved out to Colorado. We still had a small welcome dinner to plan and the usual "minor" details that keep a bride up a night to complete. Lindsey realized our stressful bind (we were reluctant to ask for MORE help so last minute) and totally came through for us. On our wedding day, she and her team were on-site to set up decor & floral, coordinate vendor placement, timing, payment & expectations and clean-up/tear-down at the end of the evening. Throughout the event she attended to the small but important details so me, my husband and our families were free to celebrate fully!
Now a little over two weeks since our wedding, my husband and I are still pinching ourselves. Our wedding was absolutely us, absolutely our vision, absolutely beautiful and we both agree that we could not have created or even imagined such a perfect day without Lindsey and the Flourish team. The ladies at Flourish Event design could not have delivered more fantastic service! From the very beginning (when I had no Idea what I was doing) to the very end when I received a follow up asking me if I was happy with everything that they had done that day. They were incredibly patient, kind and flexible with my budget and their time. I never worried about whether or not it would turn out right...And that is priceless. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that the wedding I saw in my head was the wedding that I had.
We worked with Melissa and Lindsey at Flourish Event Design for our day of coordination. I really couldn't recommend them enough. They did such a great job of keeping track of every single detail of our wedding (and there were a lot!) and made sure that everything went smoothly. Because of their efforts I was able to just relax and enjoy the day. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them.
As an out of town bride in a different timezone it was really important for me to be able to contact my coordinators through email/online. Flourish Event Design makes this extremely easy with their online planning tool. This was truly a life saver and a must if you are planning from out of town. Whether I contacted them through this tool or by phone/email they were always extremely responsive and willing to meet up with me whenever I was in town.
Even though we only hired them for day of coordination they went above and beyond their normal duties. They not only recommended vendors but also used their connections to get us quotes and mock-ups for our non-standard design requests. I don't think we could have done this on our own (in fact I wasn't able to until I asked Flourish Event Design for help). We even leaned on their floral skills the day of the wedding. Right before the ceremony we realized that we were missing a corsage for the reader, the Flourish Event Design crew quickly took a couple flowers from here and there and made a wonderful corsage on the spot.
A day of coordinator is a must if you want to be able to enjoy your own wedding and out of all of the coordinators we talked with I am so glad that we chose Flourish Event Design.
When you start the wedding planning process, you’re likely not sure what all to expect. Hiring Lindsey as our Wedding Coordinator was one of the first and, without a doubt, best decisions that we made! Every step of the way Lindsey provided honest advice based on her expertise, but more importantly she provided support. It was truly refreshing having someone there that cared about our thoughts and vision, but at the same time knew exactly when she needed to provide honest feedback. As we moved closer to the big day, we thought so much of Lindsey and her team that we decided to use Flourish for our floral as well (even though Lindsey happily set up meetings with other florists). Once again, we were amazed by the level of service and the product that we received (absolutely gorgeous!). In the end, we felt great about everything that we had decided upon leading up to the wedding but were still blown away by the final product. This was a direct result of all of Lindsey and Flourish’s hard work - they really went above and beyond! The other vendors made it a point to let us know how well organized the day was and how much easier it made their jobs. We had multiple married friends, whom have been through the process themselves, approach us at the reception just to tell us how every detail was thought of. There really aren’t enough kind words or compliments that we can write to express our gratitude for everything that Lindsey and her team did but the best thing that we can say is that they helped make our wedding the best day of our lives and for that we will be forever thankful!
Flourish Event Design was hands down the best decision I made during the entire wedding planning process. I hired them to be my Day of Coordinators for my wedding... expecting just that, DAY OF. What I got was above and beyond what I expected. They made sure they knew everything about my day and stayed one step ahead of everyone the whole time. When some unexpected snags hit, they jumped into action and had it all handled expertly.
Everything was super professional and exceeded all my expectations... My guests, groom and I were able to enjoy every minute of my wedding and didn't even think about the logistics once. I'd hire them again in a minute!
